Michael Walsh serves as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow in the Africa Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI), an Occasional Lecturer at the Foreign Service Institute, and an Affiliate of the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. As a senior research consultant, he advises foreign governments, multinational corporations, and US think tanks on US foreign policy.
His research centers on US Foreign Policy with deep specialization in African Studies, spanning Security Studies, International Relations, and Area Studies across Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East. He examines diplomatic strategy, geopolitical conflicts, and economic statecraft through rigorous policy analysis.
