Alan C. Tidwell is a Professor of the Practice and Director of the Center for Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Studies at Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. His expertise spans Australian-American relations, Pacific geopolitics, and conflict resolution. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Kent, alongside advanced degrees from the University of New South Wales and George Mason University.
Research & Education: Tidwell's work focuses on small states' diplomatic strategies, Indo-Pacific paradiplomacy, and indigenous land rights. He previously served as a program officer at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) and taught at Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney.
