Dr. Michael W. Mosser is an Associate Professor of Instruction at the University of Texas at Austin, with a joint appointment in the Department of Government and the International Relations and Global Studies (IRG) program. He serves as Director of the Center for European Studies (CES) and was Executive Director of the Global Disinformation Lab (GDIL) until 2024. His expertise spans European security, international organizations, military sociology, and environmental policy, with a focus on disinformation’s impact on American elections.

His research emphasizes the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), minilateralism in EU policy, and military roles in post-conflict reconciliation. Recent publications highlight trends in European foreign policy, disinformation analysis, and security governance. He has taught courses on European security, environmental policy, and foreign policy analysis since 2021.
