Michael Vigorita

Dr. Michael S. Vigorita serves as Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Law and Justice Studies at Rowan University's College of Humanities & Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Rutgers University and brings practical experience from his background as a probation officer and court data analyst.

Vigorita's research examines judicial decision-making patterns, sentencing disparities, and restorative justice approaches. His current work investigates the effects of state legislation on maritime vessel accidents, injuries, and fatalities—an emerging area bridging legal studies and transportation safety.
