Michael Thouless

Michael Thouless serves as the Janine Johnson Weins Professor of Engineering and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan's College of Engineering, with joint appointments in Materials Science & Engineering. His internationally recognized expertise centers on fracture mechanics and adhesion phenomena across diverse material systems.
