Dr. Michael Steven Williams is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis at the College of Education, University of Missouri (Mizzou). His scholarly and professional work focuses on advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and social justice in American higher education institutions.
His research explores two major dimensions of postsecondary education: (a) interpersonal dynamics such as mentoring, socialization, and sense of belonging among students, faculty, and administrators; and (b) institutional mechanisms for organizational improvement, accountability, and assessment.
