JR Swanegan

JR Swanegan serves as Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management & Financial Aid at the University of Missouri School of Law (Mizzou Law). With prior experience as Associate Dean of International and Graduate Programs at Stetson University College of Law, he specializes in global academic partnerships, student recruitment, and program development. He has led study abroad initiatives in Oxford, Cape Town, Ireland, and Cuba, and contributed to Stetson’s Master of Jurisprudence programs.

Swanegan earned both his BA and JD from the University of Missouri, where he previously directed study abroad initiatives for the College of Engineering and supported student diversity as Coordinator of Student Diversity Programs at MU Law. His career spans roles in legal education administration, alumni engagement, and international program strategy.

Research interests include international legal systems, higher education outreach, and diversity initiatives in law. He has taught courses such as US Legal Systems and provided career counseling to law students.
