Prof. Dr. Michael Stauffacher is Adjunct Professor and Co-Director of TdLab in ETH Zurich's Department of Environmental Systems Science. His transdisciplinary research addresses sustainability challenges at the energy-climate-urban development nexus through collaborative knowledge production.
Research focuses on:
- Carbon dioxide removal implementation
- Mobility infrastructure co-design
- Urban resource management
- Participatory policy processes
Current projects examine contested infrastructures including carbon capture systems and multimodal transportation hubs.
