Michael Stafford

Michael Stafford is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Petroleum Engineering department at the College of Engineering & Computer Science, The University of Tulsa. With 36 years of industry experience as a registered professional engineer, he transitioned to academia after a career spanning companies like Cities Service Oil Co., Parker & Parsley Development Co., and his own consulting firm, Stafford Engineering, PLLC. He joined TU as an adjunct professor in 2011 and became full-time faculty in 2015.

• Education: B.S.P.E. in Petroleum Engineering, The University of Tulsa (1981)

Research Interests focus on drilling, production log analysis, midstream operations, and regulatory affairs. His industry expertise informs practical teaching in petroleum engineering disciplines.
