Michael Slon is a Professor and Director of Choral Music at the University of Virginia, leading the University Singers, UVA Chamber Singers, and serving as Music Director of the Oratorio Society of Virginia. He is renowned for his diverse repertoire spanning classical, contemporary, and cross-cultural choral works. His ensembles have performed internationally, collaborated with artists like Bobby McFerrin, and premiered new compositions by Adolphus Hailstork, Eric Whitacre, and others. He has also held roles with Charlottesville Opera, Symphony, and regional festivals.
