Kelly Sulick is an Associate Professor and Director of Performance at the University of Virginia, where she teaches flute and directs the Chamber Music Series. She also serves as Principal Flute in the Charlottesville Symphony. Her roles include co-founding the new music collective .thrum and membership in the EcoSono Ensemble, exploring connections between music, technology, and environmental activism.

Her research interests span orchestral performance, new music commissions, and interdisciplinary projects combining music with technology/environmental themes. She has premiered dozens of works for flute and electronics, collaborating with composers like William Bolcom and Judith Shatin.
Award-winning performer, Sulick has appeared with orchestras such as the Richmond Symphony and Ann Arbor Symphony, and recorded Grammy-winning albums like 'Songs of Innocence and of Experience.' She actively engages in music education through masterclasses across the U.S. and leadership roles in flute organizations, including Vice President of the Flute Society of Washington.
