Michael A. Santoro is a Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University, a J.D. from New York University, and an A.B. from Oberlin College. His research focuses on business ethics, corporate governance, and the intersection of healthcare, AI, and racial equity. He has authored multiple books, including Wall Street Values, China 2020, and A China Business Primer. His recent work addresses racial bias in healthcare algorithms and corporate responses to crises like the Vioxx scandal and Wells Fargo’s fake accounts scandal. He co-directs the Tech2Equity Partnership to reduce racial disparities in healthcare. Professional roles include editorial leadership for the Business and Human Rights Journal and consulting for nonprofits and corporations on ethics and governance. Awards include the 2023 M&SOM Best Paper Award and a Fulbright Fellowship.
