Michael Rosenberg

Michael Rosenberg is a Professor and Head of the School of Human Sciences at The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on improving community physical activity and health through policy development, measurement of population health behaviors, and technology-driven interventions. He leads projects on children’s physical literacy, public health policy, and mixed-methods research in child welfare contexts.

Education: BAppSc, DipEd, MPH, PhD.

Research interests include health promotion strategies, physical activity measurement technologies, and policy impact analysis. Recent work emphasizes equitable sport access for vulnerable children and validation of physical literacy tools in schools.

Grants and projects include initiatives funded by Healthway, the Northern Territory Department of Health, and the Australian Sports Commission, focusing on physical literacy programs in schools and high-need communities.
