Michael Robbins is an Associate Professor of English at Montclair State University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences, where he teaches creative writing and literature courses. He holds a BA from University of Colorado, MFA from University of Oregon, and MA/PhD from University of Chicago.
His research explores contemporary poetry, literary criticism, and intersections between poetry and popular music. Robbins has published extensively in prestigious journals including The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and Poetry Magazine.
Award-winning author of several poetry collections including 'Walkman' (2021), 'The Second Sex' (Penguin 2014), and 'Alien vs. Predator' (Penguin 2012), he also authored the critical work 'Equipment for Living: On Poetry and Pop Music' (Simon & Schuster 2017).
