Michael Prodger serves as a Senior Research Fellow in the History of Modern Art at the University of Buckingham's School of Humanities and Social Sciences, where he also directs the Humanities Research Institute's London MA programme in History of Art: Renaissance to Modernism.

- BA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art
- PhD in History of Art (focusing on Baron Gros and Napoleonic Painting) from the Courtauld Institute of Art
Prodger's research spans the full trajectory of Western art history with concentrated expertise in Modern Art and the critical transition from Renaissance to Modernist movements.
