Dr. Michael Pinsky is a Senior Lecturer at the Fine Art Department of Architecture & Visual Arts within the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering at the University of East London. His work bridges art, urban planning, and activism, focusing on climate change, air pollution, and societal wellbeing through large-scale public installations.
- Education: MA(RCA), BA(Hons), AdDip (ArtEd), Dip A&D from the Royal College of Art.
His research centers on creating provocative, immersive art experiences that confront environmental and social issues. The Pollution Pods installation, which simulates global air quality extremes, has been exhibited internationally at venues including COP26, the UN Climate Change Summit, and TED. He explores intersections of art and science, particularly in psychological responses to environmental art.
