Anu Vahtra is a Visiting Professor and Head of the Master's Program in Contemporary Art at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts. Her practice focuses on transforming mundane architectural elements and exhibition spaces into abstract installations, often exploring themes of memory, perception, and urban transformation.

Notable projects include Interpreter's Booth (2017–2018), where temporary gallery walls were reconfigured to create ambiguous spatial dynamics, and Completion through Removal (2019), inspired by Gordon Matta-Clark’s architectural deconstructions. Her work has been featured in exhibitions across Europe, such as Goodbye Air Pollution, the Future is Here (2021) in Amsterdam.
