Dr. Michael Pasquale is a Professor of Linguistics and Director of Humanities and the LOGOS Center at Cornerstone University. He holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Michigan State University, an M.A. in Linguistics from MSU, and a B.A. in International Studies from Cedarville University. His research focuses on the intersection of sociolinguistics and second language acquisition, folk linguistics in language education, and language policy in TESOL contexts. He has led initiatives such as the Master of Arts in TESOL program and the annual ESL Conference at CU.
Dr. Pasquale has received prestigious awards including the Earl W. Stevick Award (2019), the Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant (2017), and the Provost’s Teaching Excellence Award (2007). He serves as a peer reviewer for the Fulbright Specialist Program and on the editorial board of the International Journal for Christianity and English Language Teaching. His professional memberships include TESOL International and the Linguistic Society of America.
Dr. Pasquale’s academic contributions span articles and books addressing cross-cultural pedagogy, language policy, and applied linguistics. He has conducted research in Peru and consults for mission organizations globally. His career combines academic leadership with a commitment to faith-integrated education, emphasizing community-driven learning and student well-being.
