Michael Paradiso-Michau is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Loyola University Chicago, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. His work spans philosophy, religious studies, and literary criticism with a focus on existential ethics, continental philosophy, and the intersections of religion and politics.
He has authored books including *Creolizing Frankenstein* (Rowman & Littlefield, 2024), analyzing Mary Shelley’s novel through creolization theory, and *Reflections on the Religious, the Ethical, and the Political* (Lexington Books, 2012), a transdisciplinary exploration of interconnected themes in ethics and religion.
His research engages deeply with thinkers like Kierkegaard, Levinas, and Kant, examining ethical obligations, religious faith, and social justice. Notable articles include analyses of the *Akedah* narrative and Levinasian critiques of ethical reciprocity.
