Michael Osman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at UCLA, directing the MA and PhD programs. His research focuses on architectural history, particularly the intersection of modernization infrastructure and historiography in the 19th and 20th centuries. He is the author of Modernism’s Visible Hand: Architecture and Regulation in America (2018) and co-editor of Writing Architectural History: Evidence and Narrative in the Twenty-First Century (2021). Osman co-founded Aggregate: The Architectural History Collaborative and co-curated the MoMA exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: Unpacking the Archive.
