Michael May is an Associate Professor of Art at Furman University, serving as Chair of the Cultural Life Program. He holds an MFA from Miami University and a BFA from Ball State University. His work merges representational art with themes from social work, using humor and narrative to explore human experiences. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including solo shows at the Thompson Gallery (Greenville, SC) and group exhibitions in Switzerland and Ireland.
