Michael Marmot

Professor Sir Michael Marmot is a leading epidemiologist and public health expert currently holding the position of Professor of Epidemiology at University College London and Director of the UCL Institute of Health Equity. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2000-present) and Professor at the University of Manchester (2019-present). His work focuses on social determinants of health, longitudinal cohort studies (including Whitehall II Studies, ELSA), and health equity policy frameworks.
