Michael L. McDonald

Dr. Michael L. McDonald is a Professor in the Department of Management at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), part of the Alvarez College of Business. He joined UTSA in 2010 and holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Economics from Emory University. His research focuses on executive leadership, particularly CEO effectiveness and the role of informal networks among CEOs, as well as board of director dynamics and diversity in corporate leadership.

Dr. McDonald teaches courses in strategic management and organization theory.
