Michael Kim is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies at Stony Brook University. He holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture from the New York College of Health Professions and is a licensed acupuncturist in New York. Additionally, he teaches at the New York College of Health Professions across all levels of their acupuncture program and currently serves as Interim Dean and Clinic Director at the Graduate School of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.

Research Interests:
His work bridges Asian and Asian American cultural studies with contemporary gender and sexuality discourse, particularly exploring intersections between masculinity, health practices, and social dynamics. Recent scholarship emphasizes critical analysis of violent extremism’s gendered dimensions and innovative approaches to male relationships.
