Michael Harris is an Honorary Reader in the Department for Health at the University of Bath and holds external roles including Professor at Riga Stradins University, Research Associate at the University of Bern, and Visiting Professor at Shupyk National Academy of Postgraduate Education. His research focuses on early cancer diagnosis in primary care, medical education methodologies, and improving clinical decision-making. He leads the Örenäs Research Group, a 25-country collaboration studying national variations in cancer diagnosis timeliness. He has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and education.
