Michael Goodhart is a Professor of Political Science and Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, with courtesy appointments in Philosophy and as a University Honors College Faculty Fellow. He served as Director of the Global Studies Center (2017–2021) and is a Fellow at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study (2021–22). His research focuses on democracy, human rights, justice, and global governance. Goodhart holds a PhD from UCLA (2000) and has held visiting positions at institutions like the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
