Michael Garcia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing, Management, and Supply Chain at the College of Business Administration, University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He is actively involved in research and community initiatives focusing on supply chain, operations, and technology integration in public and private sectors.
His primary research interests include:
- Analyzing port-of-entry efficiency using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)
- Developing diversity efficiency indicators through DEA
- Supply chain forecasting leveraging Artificial Intelligence
- Commercial applications of unmanned aerial systems (drones)
His work intersects IT operations, quality management, and government/military supply chains, contributing to both academic and practical advancements in logistics and organizational efficiency.
