Michael Fleischacker

Michael Fleischacker is an Associate Professor and Landscape Architecture Program Administrator at Delaware Valley University, where he has served since 2009. He also co-directs the Regenerative Land Institute and integrates 13 years of professional landscape architecture experience into his teaching as a licensed practitioner and LEED accredited professional.

His educational background includes:

Fleischacker's research focuses on regenerative design strategies for sustainable living systems with ecological emphasis. His expertise spans garden design, urban design, campus/community planning, transportation planning, ecological restoration, green roofs, rooftop gardens, real estate development, parks, and greenways. He prioritizes creating resilient landscapes that harmonize with natural systems through practical applications of sustainable principles.

As an educator, he provides students with hands-on learning through real-world design projects with stakeholders, leveraging his professional network for interdisciplinary collaborations. He advises students and guides the University's annual Philadelphia Flower Show exhibit.

Through the Regenerative Land Institute, Fleischacker leads initiatives focused on advancing sustainable landscape solutions with interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing practical implementation of regenerative land practices.
