Michael Feurstein

Michael Feurstein is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Data, Process and Knowledge Management, Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). He holds a Bachelor and Master degree (with distinction) in Information Systems from WU and is currently completing his PhD thesis.

Research Interests: His work focuses on Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), Video-Based Learning (VBL), and the application of technology in higher education. He specializes in Information Systems Education, Software-language Engineering, and Empirical Software Engineering.

Academic Contributions: He received the eTeaching Award as part of the Innovative Teaching Award 2017 and was nominated for the Ars Docendi Staatspreis für exzellente Lehre 2020. From 2019–2022, he participated in the Erasmus+ project SEPA360, exploring 360°-video in pedagogical contexts.
