Michael Darroch is a Professor in the School of Creative Arts at the University of Windsor, specializing in media studies, communication theory, and cultural history. His work often bridges art, history, and interdisciplinary scholarship, such as organizing exhibitions on Marshall McLuhan’s legacy and researching Indigenous histories in the Windsor-Detroit area. He has been supported by the Marshall McLuhan Centenary Fellowship for his exploration of early media studies in Canada.
Key contributions include curating symposiums on communication theorists, analyzing the influence of Swiss art historians on Canadian media discourse, and promoting public engagement through art exhibitions and urban cultural projects.
