Michael Clark is an Associate Professor of Comparative Politics in the Department of Political Science at Northern Illinois University. His research delves into the intersection of valence issues, electoral behavior, and democratic representation, with a regional focus on Western Europe.
He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has since built a scholarly portfolio centered on how political parties respond to public opinion and how valence considerations shape voter decision-making.
