Prof. Dr. med. Michael Christ is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, University of Lucerne, and serves as Chief Physician of the Emergency Department at Lucerne Cantonal Hospital since 2017. He completed his medical studies in 1991 and earned a PhD in cardiac microcirculation changes under volatile anesthetics from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1993. In 2000, he obtained a habilitation in Nongenomic Steroid Effects from Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg's Medical Faculty.
