Michael Archdeacon

Michael T. Archdeacon is Professor and Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, holding the Peter J. Stern Endowed Chair. He completed his M.D. and M.S. in Engineering at The Ohio State University after earning a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. His clinical fellowship in Orthopaedic Traumatology was completed at Tampa General Hospital.

Research focuses on complex fracture management, particularly pelvic/acetabular reconstruction and periprosthetic fracture repair. Key investigations include:

• Surgical outcomes in high-energy trauma
• Biomechanical optimization of fixation techniques
• Geriatric fracture protocols

Publications demonstrate advancements in intraoperative reduction assessment and implant failure analysis. Recognized as 'Top Doctor' for 14 consecutive years by Cincinnati Magazine.

Leads multidisciplinary trauma teams and mentors junior surgeons through the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
