Micah True is an Associate Dean in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and a Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta. His academic journey includes a PhD in Romance Studies from Duke University, focusing on French literature and culture, with earlier degrees from Gonzaga University. His research explores French and Francophone literature, early modern cultural contact, and colonial studies, particularly Jesuit missions in New France.
