Mia Pellizzer is a Research Fellow and Lecturer in Psychology at Flinders University's College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. She serves as Placement Coordinator for postgraduate psychology students and Topic Coordinator for PSYC9014 Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her research focuses on body image disturbances across clinical populations, including those with inflammatory bowel disease, eating disorders, endometriosis, and peripartum women.
Mia's work emphasizes co-design methodologies, integrating lived experience perspectives into intervention development. She contributes to the Flinders University Institute for Mental Health and Wellbeing and collaborates with Professor Tracey Wade on NHMRC-funded projects targeting youth mental health.
