Mia Carlsson is an Associate Professor and University Lecturer at the Department of Law, Faculty of Law, Stockholm University. Her academic work centers on civil law and public law with specialized expertise in tort law, compensation law, social insurance law, and personal injury law, particularly concerning work injury issues. She serves on the Faculty Board and directs the Legal Introductory Course and Special Course in Tort Law.

Her leadership roles include Secretary of the Industrial Injuries Commission (2010-2012) and Head of the Research Department in Tort Law at the Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (2010-2014).
