Mette Thuesen is Part-time Lecturer at Aalborg University's Department of Communication and Psychology, teaching clinical psychology courses while maintaining private practice. She specializes in psychotherapy processes, risk assessment in psychiatric settings, and therapist professional development.
Her pedagogical approach emphasizes preparing psychology students for professional practice through integration of theoretical knowledge, self-reflection, and practical skills. Publications examine therapist emotional processes (2012, 2015), compassion fatigue in psychotherapy (2021), and dangerousness assessment methodologies (2019).
