Mette Munk Lauridsen

Mette Munk Lauridsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Hospital of Southwest Jutland, affiliated with the University of Southern Denmark. She specializes in fatty liver disease and collaborates with research initiatives such as FLASH and ATLAS. Her work focuses on clinical studies, including the PROMETHEUS-study examining bariatric patients with fatty liver disease and liver biopsy analysis. She earned her PhD in 2016 for research on minimal hepatic encephalopathy, a condition linked to brain dysfunction in liver disease.
