Mesbah Uddin

Mesbah Uddin is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and completed both his M.S.Engg and B.S.Engg in Mechanical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

His research focuses on aerodynamics, including race and street car aerodynamics, aeroacoustics of vehicles, and fluid dynamics challenges such as jet and wake interactions, flow separation control, and shock-boundary layer interactions. He also explores data-driven turbulence modeling and machine learning applications for fluid flow classification.

Professor Uddin is associated with the Virtual Engineering Graduate Program for Veterans, supported by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) STEM Grant. His work bridges experimental and computational methods to advance vehicle aerodynamics and turbulence analysis.
