معرفی
Sanjiva Lele is the Edward C. Wells Professor of Engineering at Stanford University, holding joint appointments in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Mechanical Engineering. His work focuses on numerical simulations of fluid dynamics, turbulence, and aeroacoustics. He has contributed to studies of shock-turbulent boundary layer interactions, jet noise, wind turbine aeroacoustics, and high-fidelity computational methods. Lele leads interdisciplinary efforts at the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME) and has advised numerous doctoral and master's students.
- Education: PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University (1985)
- Affiliations: Member of Bio-X Program, Associate Editor of Journal of Fluid Mechanics and Physical Review Fluids
- Research Interests: Turbulence physics, flow instabilities, computational fluid dynamics, wind energy systems, and multiphase flows.
His honors include the AIAA Aeroacoustics Award (2016), Fellow of the American Physical Society (2001), and the Presidential Young Investigator Award (1991). Lele's research bridges theoretical, computational, and experimental studies, with applications in aviation, renewable energy, and environmental fluid mechanics.
