Dr. Meryem PELİN is a Lecturer in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Sakarya University. She specializes in nursing care practices, chronobiology, disaster response, and chronic disease management. Her research focuses on improving patient outcomes through circadian rhythm-aligned care, disaster victim experiences, and innovative healthcare quality measures. She has contributed to over 25 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, including impactful work on the Kahramanmaraş earthquake's humanitarian impact and coronary care sleep quality assessment.
Dr. Pelin has led projects funded by TÜBİTAK and Sakarya University, including studies on circadian medicine applications and post-disaster healthcare planning. She received the Poster Presentation Award at the 19th National Internal Medicine Nursing Congress in 2017. Her teaching responsibilities include Diabetes Nursing and Internal Medicine Nursing courses. Professional development includes certifications in disaster preparedness, chronic wound management, and project management methodologies.
Her work bridges clinical practice with research, emphasizing evidence-based innovations in patient care, emergency preparedness, and health education. She actively participates in national/international conferences, presenting on topics like artificial intelligence in healthcare and elderly care challenges.
