Mervi Kaukko is a Professor of Multicultural Education at Tampere University’s Faculty of Education and Culture. Her research focuses on refugee education, intercultural pedagogy, and practice theories, particularly examining how refugee children and youth navigate schooling and societal integration. She leads the Kone Foundation-funded project KOTI (2023–2027) and co-manages the NordForsk project Relational Wellbeing (2020–2024).
