Merve Öz is an Assistant Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, MEF University. She joined the university in 2024 and specializes in financial and environmental accounting.

Dr. Öz's research focuses on the intersection of financial reporting and environmental sustainability. Her work in Financial Accounting and Environmental Accounting explores how businesses integrate sustainability into their financial disclosures. She is particularly interested in Sustainability reporting frameworks and the emerging field of Non-Financial Reporting, which aims to provide a holistic view of corporate performance beyond traditional financial metrics.
