Meredith Render is a Professor of Law at the University of Alabama School of Law, where she teaches and writes on Property, Constitutional Law, Civil Rights, and Gender and the Law. Her email is mrender@law.ua.edu.

Her scholarship integrates property theory, constitutional law theory, and feminist legal theory, with a focus on property's philosophical foundations, gender as a power mediator, and the state's constitutional obligations. Recent work includes analyses of Lockean anti-waste principles in planned obsolescence (Harvard Law Review, 2021), fiduciary obligations in emoluments litigation (Notre Dame Law Review, 2020), and feminist reinterpretations of property cases (Cambridge University Press, 2021).
