Associate Professor Meredith Harris is a Principal Research Fellow at the School of Public Health, The University of Queensland, with leadership roles in the Mental Health Outcomes Research Stream and the QCMHR Business Unit Management Committee. Her work focuses on national and global mental health epidemiology, treatment coverage, comorbidities, and policy implications.
Her research integrates findings from the 2020–22 Australian National Study of Mental Health and Wellbeing and the WHO World Mental Health Surveys, addressing issues such as suicidal ideation, barriers to care, and service effectiveness. Her recent publications highlight trends in treatment patterns, comorbidity analysis, and trauma-informed frameworks.
