Menusch Khadjavi Pour

Menusch Khadjavi Pour is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Spatial Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is also a Research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute and a Senior Researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Hamburg in 2013.

His research focuses on economics, ethics, and the environment, employing experimental methods to address questions such as competitive behavior, moral behavior, gender gaps, and public goods. Recent collaborations span multiple countries, with emphasis on agricultural development, climate change adaptation, and policy design.

Teaching includes courses like Environmental and Resource Economics and PPE in Practice III: Governance for Society (academic years 2024–2025). He has contributed datasets for studies on large-scale farming impacts, regulatory truth-telling, and immigration requirements.
