Menico RIZZI

Menico RIZZI is a Full Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale 'Amedeo Avogadro'. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of DNA repair, enzymology, and structural biology, particularly in the context of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other pathogens. He leads projects targeting drug discovery for infectious diseases and cancer, including the MM4TB and SYSTEMTB initiatives funded by the European Commission. His work integrates crystallography, cryo-EM, and biochemical studies to elucidate protein functions and design novel therapeutics.
