Mengyuan Feng is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. She holds a PhD in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy (Macc) from the same institution. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary perspectives of management accounting and accountability, particularly in digital platforms and governance. She explores accountability practices through a Foucauldian lens and investigates silence in counter account frameworks.
Education: PhD in Accounting (University of Glasgow), Master of Accountancy (Macc) (University of Glasgow).
Research Interests: Management accounting, critical accounting theories, accountability in digitalized societies, social/environmental accounting, and qualitative research methods. She contributes to critical scholarship in accounting education.
Teaching: Coordinates postgraduate courses and teaches Management Accounting 1, Management Accounting 2, and Accounting for Management. Previously taught Financial Accounting 2 and Financial Information Management.
Roles: Adviser of Studies and Assessment Officer for Accounting & Finance. Supervises research in accountability in digital economies, social/environmental accounting, and cultural political-economy of governance.
