Professor Memet İnan is a distinguished academic at Adıyaman University, serving in the Faculty of Agriculture, Field Crops Department. Born in Antakya on March 12, 1972, he has been contributing to agricultural education and research since joining Adıyaman University in 2007, where he also works at the Kahta Vocational School. His academic journey began at Çukurova University, where he completed his undergraduate studies in Field Crops in 1996, followed by a master's degree in 2000 and a doctorate in 2006, all from the same institution.
Professor İnan's research primarily focuses on medicinal and aromatic plants, industrial plants, seed science and certification, and field crops. His work examines the cultivation, agronomic characteristics, and chemical composition of various plants, with particular emphasis on essential oil plants, dye plants, and endemic species. His extensive research portfolio spans over two decades, with publications covering topics from plant breeding to soil management in semi-arid conditions.
His scholarly output includes 38 refereed journal articles, 39 conference proceedings, 4 books, and numerous book chapters. Recent research trends show a continued focus on medicinal plants, with increasing attention to agricultural economics, soil science, and stress physiology in crop plants.
