Melissa Ruscetta

Melissa Ruscetta is an Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She also serves as an Academic Advisor and holds both a PhD and an AuD (Doctor of Audiology). She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association with the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.

Her primary academic and professional focus lies in audiology and communication disorders, with strong emphasis on clinical training and education. Her work supports the development of evidence-based clinical practices in hearing and speech rehabilitation, contributing to the preparation of future audiologists through structured academic and clinical mentorship.

As Director of Clinical Education, she oversees the clinical training component of the AuD program, coordinating student placements, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and mentoring students in clinical best practices.
